I'm afraid I've only just come across this really sad news after almost a year. Not only a superb Chemistry teacher, but also, as others have said, a very kind man. A couple of recollections come to mind. Once, when I was struggling to copy something down from the whiteboard, he had a discreet word with me suggesting I go to the optician, which I duly did - solving the problem. Another time, I remember him taking a few minutes of the lesson to talk to the class about our progress. Instead of making demands for improvement as we probably expected, he simply wanted to let us know how well the class was doing and encourage us to continue in exactly the same way. A very thoughtful confidence boost for the class, which I've never forgotten. Trinity was a wonderful place to be a pupil, and Mr. Boorman was the absolute epitome of those who made it that way.
